Comfort worms and insects was started at the year 2014 as agri-tech organic farm which started off as a farm dealing with worms farming with the sole purpose of breeding worms to feed chicken, before this George muturi the founder of comfort worms and insects used to raise local chicken and he had challenges of feeding his chicken due to the high cost of feeds and he had to look for an alternative method of his chicken and this is how he settled on red worms farming to use them as way of feeding his birds, after trying out this for about three years it didn’t work as expected and he didn’t get to meet his expectations.
Our Solutions
Our solutions have grown over time to have a number of different lines of products as follows
Vermicompost
After the process of waste management and vermicomposting we are able harvest a high quality vermicompost which we use as an organic fertilizer.
Azolla
Azolla is an aquatic plant that has been growing naturally on fresh water lakes as a source of protein for fish and a that we are able to grow it at home and feed the livestock animals at home from chicken, pigs, cows among others.
Black soldier flies
We offer black soldier fly larvae and set up for black soldier flies unit to help farmers in waste management protein production and organic fertilizer production.
Red worms
We offer farmers the knowledge on vermicomposting and also supply them with red worms to start off similar operations and make them sustainable at the farm levels.
Organic microorganisms
We are able to supply this support to our farmers and work towards sustainability and regenerative practices.
